  • Herpes Encephalitis is a rare medical condition that causes inflammation of the brain
  • It is caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV), which is the same virus that causes cold sores and genital herpes
  • Herpes Encephalitis is a serious condition that can cause permanent brain damage or death if left untreated
