Sarah Lipps is an undergraduate student at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. Entering her junior year of undergrad, she is studying both Biology and Spanish while balancing a busy extracurricular schedule outside of her academics. Outside of studying Biology where she enjoys being involved in field and lab research, Sarah also works two jobs on campus as a Student Ambassador, helping recruit incoming students, and a First Year Mentor, where she works with incoming freshman and teaches them multiple workshops throughout the year. Additionally, Sarah works as the Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator for an on ­campus non­profit organization known as Camp Kesem at Augustana College. Throughout the course of the school year and the summer she manages the social media pages connected with Camp Kesem at Augustana and helps to promote the organization and any fundraising events as they occur. Amongst her academics, jobs and philanthropy, Sarah finds time to compete as a member of the Augustana College Equestrian Team and qualified for regionals this past spring. She has taken her passion for the sport further and will be competing internationally in Australia this coming July.

Sarah manages and promotes the DoveMed brand and all social media and marketing aspects of the company including Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook.

Sarah believes that providing medical information that is both easily accessible and understandable is one of the first steps to creating an overall healthier community. The ease with which people can read and understand the articles makes it easier for anyone to learn more about health and the medical field whether for entertainment or personal knowledge. Medical knowledge is not something that should be solely available to those in the health professions, but should be accessible to anyone who has a desire and passion for learning.
