Dr. Jeff Henderson, M.D. is a board certified anatomic and clinical pathologist. Dr. Henderson attended medical school at The University of Arizona College of Medicine. He stayed at Arizona for his pathology residency and was chief resident in his final year. Dr. Henderson finished his medical training by completing a sub-specialty fellowship in gastrointestinal pathology at Weill Cornell Medical College and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer center in New York City. Dr. Henderson’s contribution to DoveMed is based on his clinical and research experience and expertise and is primarily focused on writing and reviewing articles on gastrointestinal disorders.

During my medical training I came to realize the importance of high quality medical information. I found that access to quality medical information is critically important to both the physician, as well as the patient, during the treatment and healing process. Patients who were well informed about their condition had an easier time navigating and understanding the complex medical system. The problem lies in the fact that accessing that important information is extremely difficult for the average patient. Also, there is a large quantity of poor information that fills the web. This is why I support the efforts and vision of Dr. Tangella to compile a vast amount of high quality, physician reviewed medical information, in an easy to use patient centered portal.
