Shaun Peterson graduated of Southern Illinois University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He has also has worked as a volunteer in Presence Covenant Medical Center laboratory. In the laboratory, Shaun worked closely with Dr. Krishna Tangella who helped him learn the medical science of pathology. Shaun has been working for DoveMed since its inception in 2011.

Shaun is currently the Chief Marketing Officer of DoveMed. His role and responsibilities involve overseeing and directing the efforts of the marketing team, preparing an overall marketing strategy, overseeing the development of new products, facilitating growth, sales along with marketing strategies, and using marketing research in order to seek out new ways of delivering promotional messages, such as mobile platforms, videos, and social media. As a person who has been with DoveMed since its formal inception, Shaun also works closely with the operational team that includes transcribing medical content, coordinating the work and process of various editorial staff writers, and helping with the search engine optimization (SEO) of all medical content. In addition, Shaun oversees the creation of all DoveMed quizzes.

Shaun believes that the need for educating healthcare consumers is extremely important.
