Biographical Information

Sammer Saleh-Jones is currently an MBA/PhD candidate in Education Policy, Organization, & Leadership at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received her Master of Public Health degree in 1998 from Boston University School of Public Health after receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in African American History from Simmons College in 1994. She has served in various roles in education and healthcare in the past decade. She has worked as a fundraiser for the Education Justice Project (EJP) and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Ms. Saleh-Jones worked as a Project Coordinator at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, OH and at the Government Practice Office at Harvard University in Boston, MA. She also served as a Research Assistant at Brigham ad Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA at a laboratory conducting asthma research. Ms. Saleh-Jones holds several honors including International Business Honor Society, the AERA Division F Mentoring Seminar Award, Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, as well as a high ranking by her students at the University of Illinois.
